Questions bookkeepers ask

How accurate is the extraction?
Every conversion is cross-checked against the statement's own opening and closing balances, so mismatches surface before they reach the books — anything that doesn't reconcile is clearly flagged for review.
What if a conversion looks wrong?
Email support@norekey.com with the statement details and a person will look at it — typical reply is under 8 hours, Mon–Fri. Most problems surface on their own first, because every conversion is checked against the statement's own balances, and unusual layouts are normally fixed within days. Paid plans get priority in the queue.
Which banks do you support?
Any bank or card issuer that produces a text-based PDF statement. We read each statement's layout rather than relying on fixed templates, so unusual and regional formats work too.
Can you handle scanned or password-protected PDFs?
Both convert. Password-protected PDFs just need the password at upload. Scanned or photographed statements go through OCR — each page uses 3 pages of your allowance, and we tell you before converting since OCR takes more work.
What happens to my files?
Uploads are encrypted, never used for training, and deleted the moment processing finishes. Extracted data and exports expire on your team's retention schedule — from 30 minutes to 30 days.
Is there an API?
Yes — every plan includes API access, even Free. Upload statements, poll their status, and download any export format from your own code. Keys are created in team settings, and the API docs include full Python and Node.js examples.
Can I convert many statements at once?
Yes — drop as many PDFs as you like onto the converter and each converts in parallel, every one balance-checked. Batch upload is included on every plan.
